MedLegal Authority was founded by Dr. J. Calvin Johnson, a nationally recognized orthopedic surgeon with more than 35 years of surgical practice and over 26,000 procedures performed. After a distinguished medical career, Dr. Johnson transitioned to medical-legal work, completing more than 2,000 independent medical exams (IMEs) and offering expert testimony in numerous court proceedings.
What began with a single surgeon’s expertise has grown into a national network of subspecialty physicians. Today, MedLegal Authority connects legal professionals with internists, spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, and other experts who provide the objective insight cases demand.
Our team also includes Legal Nurse Consultants who collaborate closely with our physicians to ensure each case receives comprehensive clinical and contextual evaluation.
